being a Bike Person

notice I said Bike Person - as in, a person who owns a bike and uses it to get places. Not to be confused with a Cyclist - who is a person who wears spandex and intimidating clip-in shoes and rides on the street at very fast speeds. A Bike Person rides on bike paths (and sometimes the sidewalk 🫢) and is comfortable riding in flip-flops and basically rides their bike to recapture what it felt like to ride whey they were 9 years old.

ps. this is similar to my bike. you don't need a fancy bike to be a Bike Person.
